When not at home we like to make the most of the unique area we live in.

Alastair is a keen mountaineer and particularly enjoys hill running, mountain biking and ski touring. He has been a member of Braemar Mountain Rescue Team for over 10 years, and is also a retained fire-fighter and community first responder.

Sarah prefers her past-times to be a bit less frenetic, she enjoys hillwalking, skiing and has a particular interest in local plants and wildlife.

Alastair and Sarah have lived in Braemar since 1997 and took over the guest house in 2010. Alastair has a background in the hospitality industry and Sarah as a nursery nurse.

We have three children; James, Charlotte and Sam.
